- with its products Possehl has specialized in supplying the various needs of its commercial customers. To merchants, handcrafts, retailing industry as well as to professionals Possehl has established as a reliable partner.

Yet Senator Emil Possehl has been extending his Europe-wide trading company more and more into the industrial sector. For example, Possehl was engaged in the foundation of Hochofenwerk Lübeck AG (furnace) in 1905. Possehl participated in producing companies in Europe as well, e.g. in Sweden and Russia. His swedish investments in Hochofenwerk Carlsdal in 1905 as well as in the steel producing company Fagersta in 1907 made Possehl the biggest investor in Sweden which included not only huge real estate but also modern manufacturing capacities. In these days, nearly 15.000 people were employed in Possehl´s producing companies in Sweden.

There has been a close coherence between the manufacturing and the trading companies. Manufactured by Possehl, many goods were also distributed by Possehl´s trading firms up to recent times. Possehl balanced his portfolio also within the segment production as he did in the entire Possehl-Group. Possehl never put all eggs in one basket.

Nowadays, those three manufacturing divisions gained almost one third of Possehl Group´s sales.

All of the manufacturing activities work hard on future-oriented markets. Due to each of their positive positioning in these markets they are likely to shape Possehl henceforth.
